The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" by Peter Gwinn and Bobby Mort, will play Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre, directed by Marc Warzecha in a World Premiere, now playing through December 30, 2012.  BroadwayWorld has a first look below.

With its trademark humor, irreverence and originality, The Second City, in a creative collaboration with CTG, is taking the classic Charles Dickens tale of hope and redemption and giving it a hearty twist. In addition to Scrooge, Tiny Tim, the fat, plucked goose and those glum ghosts, the famous Victorian streets will spring to life with scheming politicians, sunbathing Santas, shoplifting celebrities and hilarious improvs, all performed by a talented group of Second City alums and an ever-changing stable of starry, drop-in special guests.

Ticket prices are $20-$60 (subject to change) and are available by calling CTG Audience Services at (213) 628-2772, in person at the Center Theatre Group box office (at the Ahmanson Theatre at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles), online at www.CenterTheatreGroup.org, or at the Kirk Douglas Theatre box office two hours prior to performances. Hot Tix: $20 each may be purchased in advance or, subject to availability, on the day of performance at the box office (no checks). Groups: (213) 972-7231. Deaf community: information & charge, TDD (213) 680-4017.

Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre is located at 9820 Washington Blvd., Culver City, Calif. Ample free parking and restaurants adjacent.
