Original Cast Reunites Tonight to Record AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY at L.A. Theatre Works

By:

Ron Livingston, Rosemary DeWitt, Robert Pine and more have joined original Steppenwolf and Broadway cast members in the company of L.A. Theatre Works' recording of Tracy Letts' Pulitzer Prize-winning play AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY for public radio and digital download. The show runs today, July 10-13 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater.

Original Steppenwolf and Broadway cast members Deanna Dunagan (Tony Award, Best Leading Actress), Rondi Reed (Tony Award, Best Featured Actress), Kimberly Guerrero, Francis Guinan and Mariann Mayberry reunite to record Letts' dark, Pulitzer Prize winning comic epic.

The Weston family gathers during a brutal summer heat wave to provide comfort to their bitter, substance-abusing matriarch and find their missing father. It's an unforgettable theatrical journey that offers a painfully funny look at a family struggling in the desolate heart of America.

Also in the cast: Tara Lynne Barr (God Bless America); Shannon Cochran (member of the National Tour and Center Theatre Group casts); Rosemarie DeWitt (Cinderella Man, Mad Men, United States of Tara); Scott Jaeck (ER, Santa Barbara); Ron Livingston (Office Space, Defying Gravity, Boardwalk Empire); Robert Maffia (24, Fumbling Through the Pieces); Robert Pine (Frozen,The Bold and the Beautiful, CHiPs); and David Warshofsky (Captain Phillips).

Bart DeLorenzo directs; Susan A. Loewenberg produces.

All performances will be recorded live in front of an audience (without sets or costumes) to air on L.A. Theatre Works' syndicated radio theater series, which broadcasts weekly on public radio stations nationwide (locally, in Southern California, on KPFK 90.7 FM) and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
