By:

Dude...Hang on to your undies...and your beverage! Rockwell Table & Stage crosses the line with its outrageous Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Big Lebowski, an American cult classic, running Thursday and Friday nights, though the end of this 2016 summer. Grab your tickets before they go missing, now on sale at: www.rockwell-la.com

And you thought this was a show about bowling? Well, it is...sort of. Everyone will get caught up in the heist as Executive Producer/Co-Writer Kate Pazakis unleashes her sixth hit "Unauthorized Musical Parody" production on unsuspecting Rockwell Table & Stage audiences. This time, she re-joins forces with Director Tye Blue and Co-writer Ray Wetmore for a completely out-of-control musical rendition of the Coen Brothers' 1996 crime-noir comedy, The Big Lebowski. The trio is aided and abetted by acclaimed Musical Director Gregory Nabours, who brings to the table a soundtrack of toe-tapping guilty pleasures.

The ultimate stage parody, the film was Inspired in part by Robert Altman's version of Raymond Chandler's "The Long Goodbye," a noir-of-sorts, focusing on The Dude Lebowski (Jeff Bridges), a Californian slacker whose life mainly revolves around his bowling team with demented Vietnam vet Walter (John Goodman), and the unloved, ignored Donny (Steve Buscemi)

The cast features

Eric Petersen, David Haverty, Teya Patt, Cindy Sciacca, EK Dagenfield, Peter Allen Vogt, John Flynn, Misha Reeves Bybee, Megs Reinking, Emma Hunton, Keri Safran, Kalen Edean, Damon Gravina, Chris Chatman, Trevin Goin, Pablo Rossil, Katherine Tokarz, and Pablo Rossil.

Putting the "Umph" in UMPO (which stands for Unauthorized Musical Parody Of...) Pazakis has cast a hilarious team of players to bring the Coens' nonsensical brilliance alive, featuring Rockwell fave David Haverty (UMPO Home Alone/R&J Love is a Battlefield) and Eric Peterson (Shrek the Musical) alternately as "The Dude" aka "His Dudness" or "Duder" or "The Duderino!" Co-conspirators include John Flynn (as Lebowski) Chris Chatman, E.K. Dangerfield, Trevin Goin, Damon Gravina, Emma Hunton and Teya Patt.

"The Unauthorized Musical Parody of The Big Lebowski' is my musical fangirl love letter to the Coen Brothers," said Pazakis.

Tickets are on sale now. Performances run Thursday and Friday nights, now through the end of summer. Showtime: 8pm. Rockwell Table & Stage is located in Los Feliz at 1714 N. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles. 323-669-1550 For more information, visit www.rockwell-la.com.
