REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA Writer Pens THE TUTOR'S GALLERY 10/23

By:

Our story opens in Anaheim, California. 1961. In The Shadows of The Happiest Place on Earth a family tragedy shapes generations. The Pryzkinds, and their six-legged cockroach co-inhabitants, struggle to survive the horrors of everyday life within the crime-filled streets of a decaying suburban neighborhood. Terrance Zdunich paints a chilling picture in THE MOLTING, a twelve-part comic book saga that explores the human condition through the lives of one dysfunctional family.

As creator and star of 2008's instant cult classic film REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA, Zdunich rose to fame with his portrayal of GRAVEROBBER, a drug dealer peddling the futures' latest craze, Zydrate. Often overlooked are the movie's comic book sequences, which Zdunich also created, but they were just a glimpse at his artistic talents and what was to come.

In September of 2009, Zdunich released the first installment of THE MOLTING, entitled "Guilty Susie", which garnered rave reviews from pop culture and comic book reviewers alike. A new issue is released every few months and the independent series is available only at www.TheMoltingComic.com. The release of issue #5 "Mother's Day" will be marked with the conclusion of the online artists' tutorial "Painting A Still Life With Terrance Zdunich" and a live paint splattered event entitled THE TUTOR'S GALLERY.

In conjunction with the release of THE MOLTING issue #4 "Lethal Raids", Zdunich debuted a weekly 14-part series of "killer" art tutorials. This seemingly innocent collection of art lessons takes amateurs and seasoned artists alike on a dark and twisted path to self expression. Since the Tutor's first lesson "How to Paint a Straight Line" viewers have become students and picked up their own crayons, paint brushes and chainsaws. They've been fanatically submitting their "homework" as video responses and visual presentations. Each week a new skill, in the pursuit of a completed artwork, is unveiled and each week, the students of The Tutor rise to the challenge, developing their artistic voices. Good students may find themselves valedictorian and featured at the culmination of the series- a live one-night only event entitled THE TUTOR'S GALLERY.

Join us for THE TUTORS GALLERY. This special presentation will take place on Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 at the Paul Gleason Theatre in Hollywood, California from 7:00pm-11:00PM. The event will feature artwork from Zdunich and his co-collaborators as well as multimedia presentations of the participants' work and a live demonstration from The Tutor. Tickets are priced at $10 and are available for purchase at http://www.TheMoltingComic.com/tickets. Copies of The Molting and V.I.P. (Very Important Pupil) merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
