Photo Flash: VILLAIN: DEBLANKS Makes West Coast Debut with SPACE HOLE!

By: Mar. 04, 2016

On Monday, February 29, Villain: DeBlanks SPACE HOLE! made its West Coast premiere at Rockwell Table & Stage in LA, benefitting the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The hilarious, one-night performance starred Nicole Parker, Barrett Foa, Mary Birdsong, Tom Lenk, Gabrielle Ruiz & Greg Ainsworth, and the special media guest was Tom Perumean of KABC-LA. Scroll down for photos from the event!

Now, back to New York: the amazing March 6 cast includes brilliantly sassy Carly Hughes ("Beautiful," "Cabin in the Sky"), wonderfully versatile Erik Liberman ("Hunchback of Notre Dame," TV's "Vinyl"), sexy & cunning Lauren Molina ("Rock of Ages," The Skivvies"), hilariously fun Bernard Dotson ("Chicago," "Finian's Rainbow"), unpredictably clever Amy Bizjak ("Elephant Girls," "Cooper Savage"), and the always entertaining Adam Rothenberg (Celebrity interviewer "Call Me Adam"). Joining the fun as our "special media guest" will be Patrick Hinds, creator and host of the popular Theater People podcast.

A Time Out NY Critics' Pick written by Billy Mitchell, "Villain: DeBlanks" is the uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs-uncensored and unrehearsed-as they enact the deep-space adventures of Captain Zabitsh and her crew. It's adult "Mad Libs" meets "Spaceballs" meets "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" -- and it's never the same show twice!

After appearing in three benefit performances of "Villian DeBlanks," Brenda Braxton is delighted to announce this periodic run currently scheduled for six months -- November through April -- starring some of the funniest people in New York. Ms. Braxton will join the show in April following her run in "After Midnight" aboard Norwegian Escape.

April 3 cast will include Randy Graff, Brenda Braxton, Marc Kudisch, Eric Ulloa and more (pending availability), with special media guest Michael Riedel.

"Brenda Braxton presents Villain: DeBlanks" plays The Triad (158 W 72nd St.) on Sundays: March 6 & April 3 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $25, and there is a 2-drink minimum. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of New York. For more information, visit villaindeblanks.com. Presented in association with La Vie Productions/R.Erin Craig.
