Photo Flash: First Look at THE LEGEND(S) OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, Opening Tonight at Chance Theater

By:

Chance presents the world premiere adaptation of Washington Irving's classic spooky tale, THE LEGEND(S) OF SLEEPY HOLLOW as the final production of its first Theater for Young Audiences season. Performances begin tonight, October 8, and continue through October 18 on the 2nd Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center. The show is written by Jonathan Josephson and directed by Darryl B. Hovis. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

Finally, the true story of what happened to Ichabod Crane on that dreaded night in Sleepy Hollow will be revealed... straight from the horse's mouth. Literally. This theatrical adaptation of the timeless tale of the gawky school teacher, the fair damsel Katrina Van Tassel, and a colorful collection of quirky characters, will awaken the imagination-and the dreaded specter of the Headless Horseman. Delightfully adventurous, this is an ideal Halloween story for literature and theater lovers of all ages.

The cast for The Legend(s) of Sleepy Hollow stars Robin Walton (Hairspray) as Baltrus Van Tassel, who is joined by five actors making their Chance Theater debuts -- Nick Bradford Slimmer as Ichabod Crane, Victoria Rafael as Katrina Van Tassel, Aaron McGee as Brom Bones, Stephanie Wilborn as Gunpowder and Gabriel Gentile in a variety of roles.

The production team for The Legend(s) of Sleepy Hollow includes scenic and props designer Alexandra Giron, lighting designer Martha Carter (After The Revolution), sound designer Iris Zacarias, costume designer Mauri Anne Smith (Alice in Wonderland), production stage manager Cynthia C. Espinoza and rehearsal stage manager Robin Shorter.
