Photo Flash: Celebrate Thanksgiving with THE GOOD DINOSAUR at El Capitan Theatre

By:

Hollywood's legendary El Capitan Theatre presents a special engagement of Disney•Pixar's THE GOOD DINOSAUR, tomorrow, Nov. 25, through Dec. 13, 2015. Before the movie, El Capitan guests will be treated to an all-new, fun, festive, live musical show, celebrating 20 years of Pixar movies -- from 1995's "Toy Story" to this year's THE GOOD DINOSAUR -- featuring favorite Pixar characters like Buzz & Woody, Mike & Sulley and for the first time on the El Capitan Theatre stage, Joy & Sadness! Each screening also includes Disney•Pixar's new short, "Sanjay's Super Team." Scroll down for a sneak peek at THE GOOD DINOSAUR!

On select dates through Dec. 3, guests can meet a dinosaur expert from the Natural History Museum of Los while viewing the educational exhibit in the lower lounge.

Throughout the engagement, the El Capitan will also offer a special Limited Edition VIP Pin Admission Ticket (while supplies last), which includes a limited edition GOOD DINOSAUR pin, plus reserved seat, popcorn and drink.

"The El Capitan is thrilled to bring Disney•Pixar's new adventure to our screen," said James Wood, operations and stage productions for The El Capitan Theatre. "Not only will El Capitan guests be able to enjoy the film in Dolby Vision™ and Dolby Atmos, they can also venture downstairs to experience an immersive and educational exhibit provided by the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology and the National History Museum of Los Angeles."

Daily showtimes are 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 7 p.m., with a 9:50 p.m.screening on opening weekend (Wednesday through Sunday), and each Fridayand Saturday during the engagement of the film. Tickets are on sale now, available at the El Capitan Theatre (6838 Hollywood Blvd.), online at www.elcapitantickets.com or by calling 1-800-DISNEY6. Special group rates for parties of 20 or more are available by calling 1-818-845-3110. Show times and dates are subject to change.

The El Capitan Theatre will also host a very special Tiny Tot Tuesday every Tuesday at 10 a.m. during the run of "The Good Dinosaur." During these special screenings, parents and small children may enjoy the movie in a tot-friendly way-with lights dimmed rather than out and reduced sound levels.

THE GOOD DINOSAUR asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo (voice of Raymond Ochoa) makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of. THE GOOD DINOSAUR is directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Denise Ream ("Cars 2").

Disney·Pixar's THE GOOD DINOSAUR at the El Capitan Theatre will be shown in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. Dolby Vision delivers a dramatically different visual experience-astonishing brightness, incomparable contrast, and captivating color-that brings movies to life before your eyes. Dolby Atmos transports you into the movie with breathtaking, multidimensional sound that fills the theatre and flows all around you.
