Photo Coverage: JOHN LLOYD YOUNG MY TURN Returns To Sterling's Upstairs At The Federal
Tony Award winner John Lloyd Young, who is best known for his Tony-winning portrayal of "Frankie Valli" in the original Broadway JERSEY BOYS and for his performance in the 2014 film, returned for a sold out cabaret concert My Turn at Sterling's Upstairs at the Federal in North Hollywood on September 15, 2015.
As Frankie Valli, Mr. Young became the only actor in history to win all four leading actor awards in a Broadway debut: Lead Actor Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critic Circle, and Theatre World Awards. Mr. Young sings lead vocals on the Platinum and Grammy Award-winning JERSEY BOYS Original Cast Album.
In 2008, Mr. Young played "Marius" in LES MISERABLES to the sold-out crowd at the Hollywood Bowl. Mr. Young returned to JERSEY BOYS on Broadway for several months in 2012 and 2013. He made his West End Debut in London opening JERSEY BOYS at the historic Pickadilly Theatre.
In 2014, he played Frankie Valli in the Warner Brothers' film adaptation of JERSEY BOYS under the direction of Clint Eastwood.
Mr. Young was appointed by President Barrack Obama to the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities in 2013.
Mr. Young has been involved with charitable organizations such as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, AIDS Project Los Angeles, amfAR, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the United Service Organization.
