Phoenix Rising Theater Company Presents The Maiden's Prayer
Phoenix Rising Theater Company's inaugural production of Nicky Silver's, The Maiden's Prayer, opened October 8th at The Atwater Village Theater to a full house and a rousing reception.
PRTC's first outing has been a labor of love, born from the idea that roles should be cast with the most talented actors, whether they look the part or not.
OUR MISSION
In an effort to encourage a society of acceptance and equality, Phoenix Rising Theater Company creates honest theatrical art unrestricted by the confines of the actors' outward appearances. We aspire to break down the preconceived notions of industry standards and celebrate the inherent uniqueness of every actor.
Combining talent with community only strengthens our purpose. Phoenix Rising Theater Company seeks to involve local artists and entrepreneurs in every production. From local musicians providing the soundtrack and entertainment, concessions provided by local bakeries and restaurants, and local artists' works on display in the set and/or lobby; we aim to promote a sense of pride and true community to foster a creative launching pad for our ideals of societal acceptance and equality.
