Open Fist Theatre Company Calls for Donations to Match $2K Grant by 7/31

By:

Open Fist Theatre Company has been given a matching grant for their First Look Festival of new plays but they need your help! OFTC needs to raise 2,000.00 dollars by the end of the month in order to receive a matching grant from a generous foundation.

This is a unique opportunity for OFTC to take advantage of the foundation support that is making it possible to produce exciting new work. And as arts funding dries up across the country it's imperative to seize these opportunities when they arise.

New plays are exciting. New plays are risky. New plays are what keep the theater alive. It's thrilling to see something that has never been seen before, to hear a new voice come alive before an audience, to watch an actor do and say something that has never quite been said in that way before, to participate in a story that is at once original and familiar, terrifying and hilarious, heartbreaking and uplifting.

But new plays require support, and that's where you come in.

Help OFTC take advantage of our generous grant and send your donation now. $5, $50, $500 dollars. Your money today means double the money for costumes, lights, sound, for everything that goes into seeing a new play on our stage.

Your money today means the future of American theater tomorrow.

Thanks for supporting new work.
