Olivier Award-Winner Pat Kinevane Returns to Odyssey Theatre with Trilogy of Solo Work Image

3 Plays by Pat Kinevane - Olivier Award winners Pat Kinevane and Fishamble: The New Play Company return to Odyssey Theatre Ensemble from their home base in Dublin with a limited engagement of the Irish writer/performer's extraordinary trilogy of solo work. The three plays, each of which brings to the surface the people who live under the nose of everyday life, will be performed on a rotating schedule, with Fishamble artistic director Jim Culleton again at the helm. Underneath(winner, 2017 Stage Raw Award for Solo Performance) is the blackly comic, rich and vivid tale of a life lived in secret. It explores the surface - and what lies underneath. Is beauty really only skin deep? Does ugliness hide somewhere deeper? Silent is the touching story of homeless McGoldrig, who once had splendid things. But he has lost it all - including his mind. He now dives into the wonderful wounds of his past through the romantic world of Rudolph Valentino. And Forgottenreveals the interconnecting stories of four elderly people living in retirement homes and care facilities around Ireland using a unique fusion of Kabuki dance and Irish storytelling.
