Musical Theatre West Names Ted Watts, Jr. Education And Outreach Director And Matt Terzigni As Production Manager

Musical Theatre West (MTW) announces the addition of Ted Watts, Jr. as Education and Outreach Director and Matt Terzigni as the company's new Production Manager.

Watts is an accomplished educator, actor, and director. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in musical theatre from Point Park University, and a master's degree in directing from The Actors Studio Drama School, he worked as an instructor with Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (CLO), Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, and New York Film Academy. He has served on prestigious artistic panels for Carnegie Mellon University and taught at Harvard University in association with the New York Film Academy. As a director, Watts held positions at Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, Duquesne University, and the Bucks County Playhouse.

A member of both Actors Equity Association and SAG/AFTRA, Watts appeared in Richard Linklater's latest picture Last Flag Flying, in the film Help Me Help You, and on the television series The Haunting Of..... His stage credits include Camelot (Pittsburgh Public Theater) and Jekyll & Hyde (Pittsburgh CLO).

Watts will oversee the development and execution of student matinee performances, in-school productions with professional actors, the student summer conservatory, and the Footlighter scholarship awards. Musical Theatre West is committed to exposing thousands of children each year to the joy and magic of musical theater. Programs are provided for school-aged children in Los Angeles and Orange County, through generous contributions through individuals and sponsors.

Matt Terzigni is a stage manager and company manager who has worked on both coasts and internationally. His extensive credits includes productions on the New York stage scene, including The Events with the New York Theater Workshop and Should I Have...It's all Wright, Sex with a Censor, and August Strindberg's A Dream Play at the TBG Theatre .

He served as the Operations Manager for the New Swan Shakespeare Festival as well as for the Ives Concert Park. Internationally, Terzigni presented the new work, Lysistrata: The Disco, Vaudeville, Rock 'N' Roll Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Terzigni received his Bachelor of Arts in Theater Design and Technology and Theate Arts Management from Western Connecticut State University and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Stage Management from the University of California, Irvine. While at Western Connecticut State University, he served as a stage management, coach, and mentors. Alongside his time as a mentor, he also served as the School for Visual and Performing Arts Company Manager and worked with students to plan large scale trips to the Kennedy Center Theater Awards as well as multiple shows in New York City.
