Coming right on the heels of its Ovation Recommended production of Roald Dahl's THE MAGIC FINGER, The MainStreet Theatre Company has announced its 2014/2015 season -- the 9th for Rancho Cucamonga's resident company for children and families. Shows will be performed in the company's home, the beautiful City owned and operated 536 seat Lewis Family Playhouse.

The season begins in the fall with the West Coast Premiere of Stiles and Drewe's THE THREE LITTLE PIGS. Composer George Stiles and Lyric and Book writer Anthony Drewe are best known for their Olivier-Award winning Honk! in 2000, and for the additional songs and music for the award-winning Mary Poppins. MainStreet's production will be directed by Jessica Kubzansky, with Musical Direction by Janice Rodgers Wainwright. Performances for School Groups will begin on September 29th. The public opening will be on October 4th. The show will have a total of 27 performances over a 3 week period. This "very curly musical tail" is full of clever lyrics and catchy music and is geared for families with children as young as 4.

In February, MainStreet will produce Mark Twain's THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER, adapted by Jonathan Bolt and directed by Abigail Deser. MainStreet regulars Doug Harvey (The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, The Magic Finger) and Jeremy Lelliott (A Wrinkle in Time, Treasure Island) will play two boys in 16th century England, who trade clothes on a lark, and accidently trade lives as well. School performances begin on February 23rd, with the public opening on February 28th. The show runs until March 15th.

In May, MainStreet will host the Vital Theatre Company's production of Fancy Nancy, The Musical. The show will run for one week only, with 6 performances for School Groups and 3 public performances on May 9th and 10th. MainStreet will be hosting a special Mother's Day tea immediately following the 1:00 performance on May 9th.

Single tickets are $18.00 for Adults and $16.00 for children up to age 12, and seniors 60 and older. "Foundation Family Flex Packs", where tickets are only $12.00 if they're bought in packs of 4 or more for the same performance are available for the two MainStreet Theatre Company productions. The Rancho Cucamonga Community and Arts Foundation will also continue to support "Foundation Family Saturdays" for the opening performance of each MainStreet show. (Does not apply for Fancy Nancy, the Musical).
