Cabrillo Music Theatre announces the 2014-2015 season of shows: "Musical Adventures Around the World.... And Right Next Door." With two Regional Premieres, a favorite returning classic, and a landmark musical, Cabrillo Music Theatre's new season has something for everyone. All of Cabrillo's productions are locally produced, auditioned and rehearsed in Southern California, and performed exclusively at the Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

"This is Cabrillo Music Theatre's most exciting and ambitious season ever," says Cabrillo Music Theatre's Artistic Director, Lewis Wilkenfeld. "OKLAHOMA! revolutionized musical theatre, making it the unique American art form that it is today. Thirty years later, COMPANY reinvented musical theatre again, as the first 'concept' musical. MEMPHIS is one of the most joyful and energetic shows of the last two decades, and Cabrillo's will be the first Regional production - we'll be the first company in Southern California to do it." Adds Wilkenfeld, "That leaves MARY POPPINS - a show I've dreamed of putting onstage since I was a kid - Cabrillo has the first regional production of this new classic, too!"

Cabrillo Music Theatre's 2014-15 includes three shows in the larger Kavli Theatre (MEMPHIS, MARY POPPINS and OKLAHOMA!) and one in the more intimate Scherr Forum. Says Wilkenfeld, "We've been eager to give our audiences a different and upclose experience, and the Scherr Forum allows us to do that. We can do a show that we might not perform in the larger space, but now we can produce it in the Scherr Forum and extend the run. COMPANY, which has never played here professionally, is a perfect show for us!"
