Fresh off the heels of a smash hit OFF-Broadway run at New York's prestigious Cherry Lane Theatre, German-born-NYC-raised comedian, actor and writer Lucie Pohl will bring her newly re-worked first critically acclaimed show Hi, Hitler to The Lyric Hyperion Theatre for one night only on Saturday, November 4th at 8pm. With a role in Blizzard Entertainment's top video game Overwatch, and appearances on several fan-favorite TV shows and films, in addition to her lauded one-woman shows, Pohl is a star on the rise. The grand-niece of iconic poet/playwright Bertolt Brecht and the daughter of German actor Klaus Pohl and Romanian singer Sanda Weigl, Pohl is carrying the distinguished legacy of her family into the 21st century. Tickets are currently on sale and are available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/hi-hitler-tickets-39203625098.

Hi, Hitler, created and written by Pohl and from producers David DeAlmo (Oh, Hello at Cherry Lane, Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King) and Rebecca Crigler (Mike Bribiglia's Thank God For Jokes, Chris Gethard's Career Suicide), and directed by Kenneth Ferrone (Colin Quinn's The New York Story, Spongebob Square Pants) finds the versatile actress playing over 30 characters as she tells the story of finding her identity in NYC as an immigrant. Meet a German-Jew who grows up in a wild family of artists, is fascinated by the Fuehrer from age four, and is uprooted from Germany to NYC at age eight. Lucie yearns for normalcy, but being different seems to run in her bloodline and escaping her inherited high-drama-destiny might just be impossible. Pohl has performed Hi, Hitler to sold-out audiences OFF Broadway, on London's West End at The Leicester Square Theatre. The show, in its original incarnation, garnered an NY Innovative Theatre Award Nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance. The show debuted in 2014 at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival to rave reviews, with the press declaring it "Brilliant" (The Mirror), "Laugh out loud funny" (The Scotsman), "Honest and funny!" (The Guardian) and a "Smash Hit" (UK Metro).

Lucie Pohl is the voice of Mercy on Blizzard Entertainment's massive hit video game Overwatch, and has appeared in the films Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them (Warner Bros.), Not Fade Away (Paramount/David Chase), and Forget About Nick (Margarethe von Trotta/Heimatfilm). She was also featured on Homeland (Showtime) and the wildly popular UK series Red Dwarf XI (Amazon), as well as in over 20 other international Film & TV productions. Pohl has contributed op-ed pieces to The Guardian, Huffington Post UK, and Chortle. She is the host of the monthly comedy show Immigrant Jam in NYC. For more information visit www.HiHitlerShow.com.
