Lonny Chapman Theatre Presents STEALING BUFFALO, 2/5-3/6
The Group Rep presents the World Premiere of STEALING BUFFALO written and performed by Vern Urich and Craig Shaynak, directed by Michael Kelly, produced by Richard Alan Woody. The play runs Saturday, February 5 through Sunday March 6. Performances are Saturdays, 5pm and Sundays, 6pm, at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in the NoHo Arts District of North Hollywood.
After being turned down for the rights to perform "AMERICAN BUFFALO," by David Mamet, two Hollywood actors decide to take matters into their own hands.
The world premiere of an original, two-act play written by Vern Urich and Craig Shaynak, "STEALING BUFFALO'" is based on the true story of two Hollywood actors who apply for the rights to David Mamet's hit play, "AMERICAN BUFFALO." After being informed by the publisher that they must "cease all plans to produce the play," they don't just get mad... they get even, taking matters into their own hands.
