When 35 year old Claire discovers a decades old letter from the mother she can barely remember, in one of her old storybooks in the attic, she is suddenly shocked to learn that she has family members she never knew existed. Desperate to find out certain truths about her mother that could greatly affect her future, she decides to search for these relatives in the hopes that they will give her the answers she needs. But what she ends up finding is three eccentric aunts, who have three very different perspectives on what her mother was like, what actually happened to her and why.
