We start the season rockin' with A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin, with Broadway's original "Janis" re-creating her Tony-nominated role as the legendary singer; followed by the incomparable Leslie Uggams starring as the ground-breaking Lena Horne in STORMY WEATHER; then, be in the room where it actually happens as our great country gets founded in 1776; next, experience that 'glorious' feeling all over again with one of the greatest musicals of all time SINGIN' IN THE RAIN from Emmy-nominated "So You Think You Can Dance" choreographer Spencer Liff; and our season finale triumphs with the family favorite, the 'tale as old as time,' Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! The unmistakable voice, filled with raw emotion and tinged with Southern Comfort, made her a must-see headliner from Monterey to Woodstock. Fueled by such unforgettable songs as "Me and Bobby McGee," "Piece of My Heart," "Mercedes Benz," "Cry Baby" and "Summertime" plus a remarkable cast headed by the show's original Broadway star, Mary Bridget Davies, A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin is a musical journey celebrating Janis and her biggest musical influences-icons like Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Odetta, Nina Simone and Bessie Smith, who inspired one of rock & roll's greatest legends.
