No leaving. No yelling. No dancing. No singing. No fighting. Those were the Annex rules. Anne Frank was 13 years old when her family went into hiding from the Nazis. Many people are familiar with the real-life events surrounding the Frank family's hiding in the secret annex during Hitler's invasion of Holland during the war. The play The Diary of Anne Frank is based on Anne's writings and is a powerful, deep look into the heart and mind of a child who is becoming a woman. Anne's thoughts, dreams, wonder and agony comes to life onstage in a story you will never forget.

The play is a dramatization by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, and opened on Broadway on October 5, 1955, receiving the Tony Award for Best Play. The revival in 1997 featured George Hearn as Otto Frank, Natalie Portman as Anne, and Linda Lavin as Mrs. Van Daan. The production received two nominations for 1998 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play and for Best featured actress (Linda Lavin).

The cast features Valerie Rose Lohman as Anne Frank who reprises her role after playing Anne in 2013 at the NoHo Theatre Arts Center (Broadwayworld.com Audience Choice Award Nomination-Best Leading Actress in a Play).

The rest of the cast includes Ron Hastings as Otto Frank, Jill B. Gerber as Edith Frank, Lauren Bell as Margot Frank, Leah Zimmerman as Mrs. Van Daan, Nathan Lightfoot as Peter Van Daan, Kenneth Martinez as Albert Dussel, Scott McDermott as Mr. Kraler, Tayah Howard as Miep Gies.

The show is stage managed by Scott Arnold, and with costumes by Linda Vick. The show is produced by Inland Valley Repertory Theatre at the Candlelight Pavilion, located at 455 West Foothill Boulevard, Claremont, California 91711.
