Lyrical Verse Speaking: Next Session Starts June 6

ISC co-founder David Melville continues his Lyrical Verse Speaking class.

Learn the basics of Shakespearean acting. You will explore:
--the elements of lyrical and dynamic verse and prose speaking
--how to connect Shakespeare's tragedy and comedy to a modern audience
--the principles of Renaissance acting
--how to physicalize Shakespeare's text

This course is for anyone with a serious interest in classical works, both professional actors and others. You will learn a new Shakespeare monologue or scene over the course of the training. You can also bring in familiar material about which you want to gain a new perspective.

Every Monday evening, 6:30 - 9:30 beginning June 6.

The fee is $200 for four weeks.

Visit our website to sign up, or contact David Melville with any questions, or call (818) 710-6306.

Classes will be held at the ISC Studio in Atwater Crossing, centrally located off the I-5, just east of Los Feliz and Silverlake.
