"I'll Give You Something To Cry About" chronicles Jonathan Coogan's journey from a childhood of abuse, drug busts, and evictions to his current life as a sober, happily married business owner. "It's a roller coaster ride of hilarity, tears, love, and redemption," affirms co-writer, director Dan Frischman. "Jonathan Coogan regularly got high in his playpen at his parent's 60s Hollywood pot parties, but as we come to understand in this tour-de-force performance, ‘You don't always have to end where you begin.'" The production opens Friday, May 15 at the Beverly Hills Playhouse.

Jonathan Coogan has been featured in regional theatre (Westchester Playhouse productions of "Barefoot in the Park," "Lost in Yonkers," "Fatal Attraction") and locally at the Lex Theatre in the acclaimed, "Scary Jewish Stories," opposite the legendary Avery Schreiber. Television appearances include "Married With Children," "Top of the Heap," "Grounded For Life" and recurring appearances on "General Hospital." Film work includes: "Pup" (starring Burt Reynolds) and "Hard Four" (starring Ed Asner and Ed Begley Jr.).

Dan Frischman is best known for series regular roles turns on ABC's "Head of the Class" and Nickelodeon's "Keenan & Kel." Film appearances include: "Masked & Anonymous," starring Jeff Bridges, Jessica Lange and Bob Dylan. He has performed stand-up on "Late Night with David Letterman" and A&E's Evening at the Improv." His full-length play, "About Faith," was produced by Camelot Artists, directed by Allen Barton. A published writer, his humorous articles have appeared in the L.A. Times. Frischman's youth-market novel, "Jackson & Jenks, Master Magicians" made its debut in April 2009.
