Gary Clark Jr. To Perform At Keys' Keep A Child Alive's 8th Annual Black Ball

Critically heralded singer, songwriter, and guitarist Gary Clark Jr. will perform at Keep A Child Alive's 8th Annual Black Ball NY, alongside Alicia Keys (who co-founded Keep A Child Alive), Usher, Mary J. Blige, will.i.am. and Norah Jones, to honor the late George Harrison and his many philanthropic contributions to India. The event will take place on November 3rd at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The Black Ball has generated more than $14 million since 2004.

Just confirmed: Gary Clark Jr. has been added to the MyMuiscRx Benefit Event during CMJ today, Oct 20 th from 7:00 - 9:00PM at The Fader Fort is located at 443 W. 18th St., NYC 10011.

In recent months, Clark has blazed a trail from coast to coast and created an international buzz based on the pure word-of-mouth regarding his incendiary live performances. Following critically lauded club sets in NYC, LA, various festival appearances including a blistering set at Bonnaroo this past summer and more recently in front of massive crowds in Brazil where he shared the with mutual fan and friend, Eric Clapton.

His major-label debut EP, Bright Lights, released on August 9th, gave fans a taste of what's to come when the 27-year-old Austin, TX native releases his full-length Warner Bros. Records debut full-length album due next year. The EP garnered a rave 4 Star review in Rolling Stone Magazine and became the first EP in the magazine's history to ever to command a full page, lead review status.
