Furious Theatre Company to Present GIDION'S KNOT, Begin. 10/30

By: Oct. 11, 2013

The critically-acclaimed FURIOUS THEATRE COMPANY is thrilled to present the first show of their 2013-2014 season, the Los Angeles premiere of an award-winning new play, GIDION'S KNOT written by Johnna Adams and directed by Furious Theatre Resident Director Darin Anthony. GIDION'S KNOT will feature Furious founding member, Vonessa Martin (Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award Winner) and Paula Cale Lisby ("Providence") and will preview on Wednesday, October 30 and Friday, November 1 at 8pm and will open on Saturday, November 2 at 8:00pm and run through Sunday, November 24 at the Pasadena Playhouse Carrie Hamilton Theatre, 39 S. El Molino Ave. in Pasadena.

GIDION'S KNOT plunges the audience into a deceptively simple situation -- A parent teacher conference. However, this encounter is anything but simple. As these two women circle each other with scalding mistrust, we soon realize a deeply tortured web of events has entangled and bound them together in tendrils of fear, rage, and sadness. As the play hurtles towards its breaking point, both parent and teacher struggle to break free from the coils holding them together... but can they?

GIDION'S KNOT will preview on Wednesday, October 30 and Friday, November 1 at 8pm (with no performance on Halloween, October 31) and will open on Saturday, November 2 at 8:00pm and run through Sunday, November 24.

Performances will be Fridays & Saturdays at 8:00pm; and Sundays at 2:30pm & 7:30pm.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Furious Theatre's website, www.furioustheatre.org or by calling the Pasadena Playhouse Box Office at (626) 356-7529. Previews are $10. Special Two-Show Season tickets are available for $30 (must be purchased by November 1).
