Transcendence Theatre Company's popular Broadway Under the Stars show series will present "Fantastical Family Night" for two nights only July 15 and 16 in the 150-year old open-air Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen. This is a fun family outing that begins with pre-show picnics and activities at 5:00pm, prior to the 7:30 pm show. This inspirational evening of music and dance is filled with songs from Broadway, Disney and so much more and features a special performance by the kids from Transcendence's Broadway Kids Camp. This production is sponsored by the Alan & Susan Seidenfeld Charitable Fund and Mary's Pizza Shack.

Broadway veteran Eric Jackson, the director of the Transcendence's "Joy to the World" holiday show this last year, directs the award-winning "Fantastical Family Night." Taking inspiration from this year's Transcendence season theme "Call of the Wild," Eric will bring the same eclectic blend of humor, musicality, and family-friendly zaniness that audiences has come to expect from this beloved family tradition. The show will celebrate imagination, bravery and the interminable optimism that resides in everyone.

A highlight of the "Fantastical Family Night" shows is the special performance by the Broadway Kids Camp campers as the team pays a "transcendent tribute" to the end of camp. The Kids Camp is a week-long fun experience with Transcendence Theatre Company staff of professionals mentoring children through a series of musical theatre workshops designed to build confidence, inspire creativity, and instill well-being in a non-competitive and nurturing environment.

"Fantastical Family Night" will include performers who have been featured on Broadway in Wicked, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia, Young Frankenstein, 42nd Street and more.

Transcendence's Broadway Under the Stars is an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Los Angeles and New York - artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances. More than a standard musical revue, each show weaves popular Broadway songs into a spectacular themed performance performed in the open-air 150-year-old Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

All events begin with picnicking amidst scenic vineyard settings - food trucks or gourmet picnic baskets spread out, local wineries pouring and pre-show music casting a magical spell of communal festivity and a summer party. Sunset heralds the start of the show and the stage begins to sparkle as dusk descends and the Broadway stars sing and dance under a starlit nighttime sky.
