On Saturday, Aug. 26, ESPNLA 710AM will air the #MarKeyRace 40-yard dash at approximately 2 p.m. PT during the Rams Pregame show (2 - 5 p.m.). ESPNLA colleagues and former NFLers Marcellus Wiley and KeyShawn Johnson will go head-to-head at the Los Angeles Coliseum at the L.A. Rams Fan Fest prior to the Rams vs. the Los Angeles Chargers pre-season game (kicking off on ESPNLA 710AM at 5 p.m.). Fan Fest attendees can also join, run the track and try the 40-yard dash and record their times. Fans are invited to show support and represent either Keyshawn or Marcellus at the #MarKeyRace.

The #MarKeyRace originated from a debate on ESPNLA 710AM's Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ Wednesday, May 3, between Lakers legend and ESPNLA colleague MycHal Thompson and Johnson about their 40-yard dash times. After much discussion, LZ Granderson suggesTEd Johnson race against Wiley, co-host of Afternoons with Marcellus & Kelvin on ESPNLA 710AM (weekdays 3 - 7 p.m.) in the 40-yard dash to prove he could run as fast as he said he could.

The #MarKey pre-race show will be open to the general public at 1 p.m. The special from 1 - 2 p.m. on ESPNLA will be hosted by Jorge Sedano, host of Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ, Granderson and Kelvin Washington, co-host of Afternoons with Marcellus and Kelvin and include interviews with Wiley, Johnson and special guests while spotlighting the excitement in the crowd.
