Dharma Bum Productions Present the World Premiere of SECURE STORAGE
About Secure Storage: When Thomas Cherry receives a phone call at 5am on the 4th of July from his younger sister Lauren, he is unprepared for the consequences. At her insistence, Thomas drives a considerable distance only to discover that she is in a parking lot living homeless, drug-addicted, and facing criminal charges. Arranging a deal, Thomas postpones her arrest and struggles to get Lauren into a rehabilitation facility. Nick, Lauren's drug dealer and friend, arrives to complicate Lauren's evasion tactics intended to delay her treatment, which culminates in a painful, tragic, yet redemptive end.
A drama in three acts, Secure Storage is set in a small town in the Southern California desert. Rooted in the playwright's own struggles with addiction, Thomas and Lauren Cherry are siblings whose dysfunctional lives "twistedly echo, in a contemporary framework, Tom and Laura in The Glass Menagerie."
The cast of Secure Storage includes Allison Blaize as Lauren Cherry, Liston Spence as Thomas Cherry, Manny Rodriguez as NICK GARCIA, Rosney Mauger as Officer Billings, Mary Newsome as Officer Jennings, and Manik Bahl as the Office Manager.
