Distinctly Different is a five-person showcase comprised of distinct autobiographical stories. These heartfelt, and often funny, performances offer a window into the journey to find self-love. From the struggle of coming out to self-reflections in the psych ward. From growing up fast in a one-parent family to talking to your uncooperative genitalia. There is a little something for everyone. Performing this June as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival - Asylum@Underground Theater - Annex - 1308 N. Wilton Place, Hollywood, CA 90028

I Don't Care What You Think, I Care How You Feel by Taylor McWhorter
Self judgement is one of the hardest things to overcome. Instead of shaming himself for the things that make him different, Taylor pours out his personal stories of growing up and coming out with the help of his loving and supportive parents.

Inside These White Walls: A Love Story by Gabriella Gulbranson
Paging Doctor Insane, a dark dramedy is waiting for you! A 17 year old girl wakes up abruptly inside a psychiatric ward on suicide watch. Through little moments of satire and bitter irony she tries to figure out where she's truly safe... in the world outside, or within these white walls...

To Be by Nathan Berry
A young man has to search through the recesses of his mind using rap and poetry in order to connect to a role he is auditioning for.

Birdie by Ty Pickett
Birdie is the story of a boy's struggle to let himself speak out while pressured by the demands of his peers. As his skies start to shatter he seeks elusive guidance from his dog and imaginary best friend. Meanwhile, his mother struggles to reach out to her son as, unbeknownst to her, events are rapidly escalating beyond control.

A Vaginal Tragedy by Taylor Shell
Following an over-exuberant gymnastic stretch resulting in nerve issues, Taylor is forced to face off against a new and daunting foe: her uncooperative genitalia. Through therapy, exploration of identity and handful of Vicodin for her pill-popping nether-regions we are offered a peak into the taming of Taylor Delores Shell's vagina.
