Cinnabar Theater presents Candide by Leonard Bernstein / Based on the Voltaire novel

Set to Leonard Bernstein's glorious music, this comic opera of Voltaire's satirical masterpiece tells of the hilarious, international adventures of the hopelessly optimistic Candide who's determined to follow his instructor's creed of mindless idealism. After being banished, abused and torn repeatedly from the woman he loves, Candide perseveres, fortified and inspired by the philosophy that everything is for the best in "the best of all possible worlds." Travel with Candide on a trip where sophisticated opera meets wacky screwball comedy.
