China Forbes Confirmed to Join Pink Martini for New Year's Eve Concerts 12/31

China Forbes, who has recovered from vocal cord surgery, has been confirmed to join Pink Martini for two New Year's Eve concerts at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Saturday, December 31, at 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM. Special guest, NPR White House Correspondent Ari Shapiro, has also been confirmed.
New Year's Eve with Pink Martini rings in 2012 with the band's spirited blend of Brazilian samba, '30s Cuban dance, Parisian café sensibility and world-music flair. Founder and pianist Thomas M. Lauderdale describes the ensemble as "musical archaeologists, bringing melodies and rhythms from different parts of the world together to make music which has broad appeal to people, no matter who they are or where they come from."Tickets are available for purchase at LAPhil.com, in person at the Walt Disney Concert Hall box office, or via credit card phone order at 323.850.2000.
