The Coachella Valley's Coyote StageWorks will bring to the stage "The 39 Steps" at the Annenberg Theater in Palm Springs, tonight, February 28 through March 9, 2014.

A two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner and recipient of the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy, "The 39 Steps" is a fast-paced whodunit for everyone who loves the magic of theatre. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have "The 39 Steps," packed with nonstop laughs, more than 150 zany characters, an on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some good old-fashioned romance.

The play begins when a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home she is murdered, and soon a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale! "For an unforgettable afternoon or evening of pure hilarity, come see 'The 39 Steps'," encourages Chuck Yates, Founding Artistic Director of Coyote StageWorks. " It was one of Broadway's longest running comedies, and played more than 500 performances. Audiences will be amazed at the wildly talented cast and the antics taking place on stage."

Performances of "The 39 Steps" will be presented at 7:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, and Wednesday evenings, and matinees at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. A Q&A session with cast members will follow each Thursday Matinee.
