Auditions for Kentwood Kids GRIMM NIGHT Held 7/23-24

The Kentwood Players announce auditions for the next Kentwood Kids Production, "A Grimm Night for Hans Christian Andersen" to be directed by Drew Fitzsimmons and Melodie S. Rivers. This hilarious musical exposes what happens when Hans Christian Andersen gets an unexpected visit from The Brothers Grimm who seem upset over the matter of stealing story lines. A competition ensues, with characters from Andersen and Grimm stories taking the stage - often in unexpected ways! Performances will take place on Saturdays, October 8, 15 and 22 at 11:00am and 2:00pm at the Westchester Playhouse.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24 from 10:00am -12:00 noon at the Westchester Playhouse, located two blocks west of the San Diego Freeway and two blocks north of Manchester at 8301 Hindry Avenue in Westchester, CA 90045. Auditions are open to children ages 6-16 years old and will consist of cold-readings from the script and singing a short song. Come ready to have fun and please bring your schedule and a photo of yourself to auditions.

Rehearsals will be Monday through Thursday 6:00pm to 8:30pm with rehearsals on Saturdays and Sundays as well. Not everyone will be needed at every rehearsal and the schedule will be based on cast availability.

This is an ENSEMBLE show and most cast members will play two or three (or more) characters and will participate in group scenes. We are looking for creative kids who want the challenge of playing more than one role and are willing to work together as a team!
