Anna Easteden Hosts La Jolla Fashion Film Fest 8/12
Los Angeles based Award Nominated actress Anna Easteden will be hosting both nights of the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival on July 29th-30th 2011 taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla, CA and a VIP Gala Event on August 12th 2011 at the Town and Country Golden Pacific Ballroom in San Diego for FinnFest 2011.
La Jolla Fashion Film Festival is the first International Fashion Film Festival founded in North America. It features films by world class directors such as Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Weber and Johan Renck.
"Industry sources call Anna a 'fascinating uber-babe' and we agree. Anna's extensive experience with film festivals combined with her successful acting career made her a natural choice for us," stated Festival producer Fred Sweet.
FinnFest celebrates Finland, Finnish America and Finnish culture. This year's 28th FinnFest is held, for the first time ever, in Southern California. In addition to Anna Easteden the Gala features food by Top Chef Stefan Richter, a Marimekko fashion show and music by Finnish music stars.
"I jumped on the opportunity to host both the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival and the FinnFest Gala," explained Easteden. "Starting my career as a fashion model and now working as an actress made it perfect for me. Having been born in Finland I appreciate many Finnish things like clean air, water and nature, and I love Finnish sauna, food and films, so this made it an awesome opportunity."
Anna Easteden was nominated for the Best Supporting Actress -award at the Method Fest Film Festival 2010 in Los Angeles from her portrayal of a hooker with a heart of gold in Mika Kaurismaki's "The House of Branching Love". This spring Easteden co-starred in a Michael Patrick King's ("Sex and the City") NBC Pilot "A. Mann's World". Some of her other credits include: the 4th last episode of Charlie Sheen's "Two and a Half Men," "Bones," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "Days Of Our Lives," and a Japanese re-make of award winning "Sideways".
