An Evening with Beth Hansen Cabaret Show Comes To GEM Theater 1/29
By: BWW News Desk
One More Productions - one of Southern California's leading musical theatre companies - is pleased to present An Evening with Beth Hansen, a one-woman show starring actress and singer Beth Hansen, January 21-22 and January 28-29, 2011, at The GEM Theatre in Garden Grove.
During this cabaret-style show, Ms. Hansen will sing her way through musical theatre's most memorable moments and hit songs. She'll be accompanied by a live on-stage jazz trio."I've been involved in musical theatre for more than 30 years and have worked in venues on both coasts, so I have many anecdotes about my life in the theater," says Hansen, who appeared in the hit musical Company for One More Productions last year and is scheduled to direct Assassins for One More Productions later this year."I combine those stories with some of my favorite songs from Broadway shows, including music by Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and many others-all the music I adore," explains Hansen. "The audience will learn a little about my life through the music that I love." "The show is like a fun cocktail party," she adds. "There's a little friskiness, and some poignant moments, but ultimately audiences will be treated to an evening of some wonderful, classic musical theater songs."Tickets are $25 each.
