25 PLAYS PER HOUR Returns to Theatre Asylum Lab for One Night, 7/21

By:

25 PLAYS PER HOUR is back by popular demand...again! After a sell-out run at last year's Hollywood Fringe Festival, Theatre Unleashed immediately decided to bring back its running series for this year's Fringe. The show once again dazzled audiences and critics, earning a nomination in the "Best in Ensemble Theatre" category and a Best of Fringe extension for one more night, July 21 at 9 p.m.

The rebirth of the Super Short, 25PPH features 25 original plays with a handful of the company's premiere actors playing over 50 characters... in less than an hour. Fusing comedy, drama and everything in between, these amazing pieces make for speed theatre at its best!

The show will take place at Theatre Asylum Lab and tickets will cost $12.

"25 PPH put TU on the map at last year's Hollywood Fringe Festival so we knew right away we wanted to do it again," said Carlos Martinez, the company's artistic director. "It's the perfect show for a Fringe Festival, great short works that challenge the ensemble to tackle multiple roles in less than an hour."

25PPH made its return with 25 brand new scripts, a new ensemble and a new director. Aaron Kozak, who has made a splash in previous Fringe Festivals with his shows THE BIRTHDAY BOYS and ROUND ROCK, recognized the challenges in mounting a show of this kind. "It's already such a popular series and we're very excited that we could add to its success and continue to grow it."

Along with 25 PPH, Theatre Unleashed also produced the hit musical [TITLE OF SHOW] with new company Village Idiom Productions. [TITLE OF SHOW] also made a splash at Fringe, selling out shows, getting rave reviews, earning a nomination in the "Best in Musicals and Operas" category and also getting a well-deserved extension.
