The 24th Street Theatre in Los Angeles will present Aristides Vargas' La Razón Blindada, opening Sept. 18, 2010.

In his acclaimed stage work, La Razón Blindada ("The Armored Reason"), Argentine-born playwright/director Aristides Vargas infuses Miguel de Cervantes' novel, El Quijote with Franz Kafka's, The Truth About Sancho Panza, and testimonies by political prisoners held in the 1970's at the Rawson Prison during Argentina's dictatorship.

In the play, two political prisoners find solace in meeting every Sunday at dusk to tell the story of Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. Their storytelling unravels amidst a maximum security prison. The production features Jesus Castaños, Tony Duron and Arturo Diaz de Sandy.

La Razón Blindada previews Friday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. Opening Weekend is Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. The production continues Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. until Oct. 17.

The show will be performed at Los Angeles' 24th Street Theatre, located at 1117 West 24th Street. General admission is $24. For tickets, call 213-745-6516 or email theatre@24thstreet.org. For more information, visit www.24thstreet.org.
