See Santa and Annual Tree Lighting in Northport This Black Friday
Come see Santa and witness a renowned tree lighting event in Northport, NY this Black Friday. This family-friendly event will take place on November 25th, starting at 3 pm on Main Street in Northport, NY!
The man himself, Santa Claus, kicks things off at 3 pm at the Waterfront Gazebo by reading holiday classic The Book of Kringle - Legend of the North Pole, which will last until approximately 3:30 pm. At 4 pm, True Blue Vintage will host a book signing event featuring The Book of Kringle author Derek Velez Partridge, lasting until 6 pm. The store will feature their new The Book of Kringle store front display, which will remain throughout the holiday season. Proceeds from purchases of The Book of Kringle will go to charity. Finally, the Annual Northport Town Tree Lighting kicks off at 7 pm, followed by caroling and other fun activities for the family.
Derek Velez Partridge was first inspired to pen The Book of Kringle - Legend of the North Pole at sixteen-years-old when he wrote a poem titled "Old Man Joe." Partridge has been a professional artist for many years, getting his start as a clay potter while living with Pablo Indians in New Mexico. He has made two feature films and is currently in preproduction of a new film called The Devil That Is, story by Edwin Torres, the New York Supreme Court Judge known for Carltio's Way. Partridge is the father of three daughters aged 11, 14 and 16, to whom he dedicates The Book of Kringle.
