Beavercreek Community Theatre Presents Neil Simon's GOD'S FAVORITE, 1/29-2/7
By: BWW News Desk
While it's loosely based on a biblical story, Neil Simon's "God's Favorite," being presented by Beavercreek Community Theatre, contains a lot more humor than the original story of Job.
In "God's Favorite," to be presented at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays from Jan. 29 through Feb. 7, Simon takes the basic story of Job and moves it to a Long Island mansion in the 1970s.Instead of Job, it's a businessman, Joe Benjamin, portrayed by Geoff Burkman of Kettering, who is having his faith tested. The successful businessman has already faced his fair share of challenges with a high-maintenance wife, portrayed by Marcia Nowik of Yellow Spring, a drunken prodigal son played by Jeremey Gingrich of Beavercreek and a pair of kookie and not too bright twins, portrayed by Josh Katawick of Springfield and Melissa Sokol of Kettering.A group discount of $1 per ticket is available to groups of 10 or more, when purchased at the same time for the same performance.
