Plaid Tidings - A Special Holiday Edition of Forever Plaid continues to spread holiday cheer in the Gold Coast Showroom through Dec. 31, 2006. The show has been a holiday favorite in Las Vegas for two years.

The original play, Forever Plaid-A Heavenly Musical Hit! will return at the Gold Coast on Feb. 6, 2007. The show will close on April 1, 2007.

"The story is about four unlikely heroes whose dreams of musical glory come true. It is the kind of off-beat quirky show that keeps people talking and coming back to see the bow-tied, harmonizing young men in plaid attire get a reprieve from death in a car crash for one last shot at the big time," press notes state.

"In both shows, the harmonizing quartet sing a series of well-loved '50s-'60s songs, and perform comedy antics which includes a Perry Como tribute, Calypso music and a hilarious re-enactment of The Ed Sullivan Show--jam-packed with plate twirlers, jugglers, impersonations and even Topo Gigio all in 3 minutes and 11 seconds."

Prior to opening at the Gold Coast, the Las Vegas production had a successful six-year run at the Flamingo Las Vegas from 1995 to 2001. The long-running off-Broadway revue has given over 4,000 performances in Las Vegas. It is the first Forever Plaid production to reach this many performances.

Forever Plaid first opened in New York on May 20, 1990, it received critical acclaim and ran for over four years. It has gone on to worldwide success. It was written directed and choreographed by Stuart Ross and vocal arrangements by James Raitt.
