Garth Brooks: Out of Retirement and Into Steve Wynn's Encore In Las Vegas
By: Ellen Sterling
With Steve Wynn scheduled to make the announcement this afternoon in Las Vegas, Garth Brooks beat him to the punch in Nashville.
Brooks announced this morning that he will come out of retirement to play an extended engagement at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas.
The theater has been used only for special engagements since the death of its full-time occupant Danny Gans in May.
The country megastar retired in 2000 to spend time with his young children.
Precise details of the engagement will be announced by Wynn at his press conference.
