Butcher Block Productions Announces Casting Call for THE AMERICA PLAY, 2/8

Butcher Block Productions is proud to announce auditions for "The America Play" by Suzan-Lori Parks
Directed by Shawn Hackler

Auditions will be held Monday, February 8th from 630pm-930pm at the new Las Vegas Little Theatre Studio (3890 Schiff Dr.) The LVLT studio is a few doors to the right of the Mainstage/Blackbox space (as you're facing the theatre).

A monologue that displays your handling of language is preferred but not required. Be prepared to read sides from other Suzan-Lori Parks plays.

Performances will be March 25-27 and April 1-3

Characters:
The Foundling Father, as Abraham Lincoln: African-American, 30s to 40s, roughly the build of Abraham Lincoln
Lucy, his wife: African-American, 20s to 40s
Brazil, his son: African-American or Caucasian, 20s
A man, as John Wilkes Booth: Caucasian, late 20s to late 30s
A woman, as John Wilkes Booth: Caucasian, late 20s to late 30s
