For the 6th KC Fringe Festival, Frankie Krainz and Seth Golay will premiere their funny and provocative new musical GOODBYE, KANSAS, a Hee-Haw-esque investigation to discover how thin the line is between religious ecstasy and mental breakdown. The play is a journey into a woman's fractured mind where we meet the voices in her head, many of whom appear as satirical takes on Kansas' famous residents like William Inge, Amelia Earhart and Fred Phelps. Mixing Krainz' autobiographical experiences with mental illness and the phantasmagoria of religion with musical styles ranging from blue grass to Klezmer to 80‘s new wave, prepare yourself for a hallucinatory romp down Crackpot Lane! "Say Goodbye, Kansas-Hello, End of the World..."

GOODBYE, KANSAS will be performed at Unicorn Theatre, 3828 Main Street, KCMO 64111, on Monday July 26th at 8:30pm, Thursday July 29th at 6:30pm, Friday July 30th at 10:00pm, and Saturday July 31st at 8:00pm.

Tickets are $10 with a fringe button ($5 under 30 years old), and are available at the door, at Fringe Central (1730 Broadway), and the Fringe 411 Ticket Booth, or online at www.kcfringe.org. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. We accept all major credit cards, debit cards and cash. No refunds after the show begins.
