Studio Production Supervisor - New 42

THE POSITION
New 42 is seeking a small pool of Studio Production Supervisors to work on an on demand basis. The position supervises production work calls (supervising safety of licensees, maintaining building protocols during licensee load ins/outs, supervising flooring calls, general equipment maintenance), as well as show calls in the Duke on 42nd Street Blackbox Theater at the New 42 Studio Building.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Supervise Duke Theatre and Studio maintenance calls, run elevator for building load ins/outs of rehearsal studio licensees, and assist in general maintenance.
● Ensure New 42 Licensees have access to all licensed equipment and systems and that they are functioning properly in the Duke Theater and Studios.
● Provide basic training on any equipment licensee is not familiar with.
● Move equipment under production purview around the building to licensees as directed.
● Coordinate any non production requests with Studio Operations in a timely manner to maintain top tier customer service.
● Maintain rep plots, basic lighting focus and repair as needed
● Maintain tracking of gear for licensees
● Submit payroll paperwork as required
● Submit end of day report
● Perform other departmental duties as required.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
● Degree or comparable experience in technical theater, stage management, or production management.
● 2 years management and supervisory experience.
● Basic knowledge of technical theater.
● Experience supervising crews.
● Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekend
