Box Office Assistant
Job Description:
The Box Office Assistant is responsible for assisting patrons with ticket purchasing and delivery, and providing information pertaining to the venue and/or event.
Responsibilities:
· Process phone, mail, online and Box Office sales of tickets and member subscriptions.
· Process purchases through various methods; including cash, credit, checks and gift certificates
· Assist customers using ticketing software
· Assist with guest management
· Distribute tickets
· Process ticket exchanges
· Assist patrons with seat selection
· Resolve issues as they arise, and escalate concerns to management when necessary
· Respond to inquiries related to show and ticket information
· Provide information on productions via phone, email and in person at the Box Office
Job Requirements:
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of technology.
· Proficiency in software including: computerized box office system, MS Word, and MS Excel is preferred
· Detail oriented
· Strong customer service skills
· Ability to work independently
· Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends
