SHOW DESCRIPTION: Fluffy the Pine is a musical comedy with book, music and lyrics written by pop music duo Susan Paroff and Nikki Sorrentino. Susan and Nikki have collaborated on songs for sync placement in film and tv across platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Disney, Universal, WWE and Fox. In this campy, kitschy, over-the-top jamboree we follow Fluffy from a rural tree farm in Alaska to the big apple, where Fluffy must convince the dysfunctional Crude family that their newly created, edible, plastic empire is bad for the world. With the help of his fellow tree friends, Hannah and Tarry, Fluffy embarks on a heartwarming holiday adventure to show the world what real trees can do. CHARACTERS: Fluffy the Pine (Any Gender) : Fluffy is a naive, insecure, sparsely filled out pine tree who is striving to find their place in the world. Hopeful but scared of the future Fluffy wants to make a difference. Hannah The Chanukah Bush (Female presenting) : Hannah is a bold, outspoken, fire bush who is always the center of attention. Her larger than life personality and dreams of stardom drive her to make her mark on the world. Tarry the Tall (Male presenting) : Tarry is a shy, soft-spoken Sugar Pine who has grown to over 76 ft tall. He enjoys being just a face in the crowd without any unnecessary attention. He wears his heart on his sleeve and his heart is all for Hannah. Mr. Crude (Male presenting) : Powerful business tycoon and one of the world’s first trillionaires he has built an empire through his production of plastics and has made Crude a notorious household name. Mrs. Crude (Female presenting): Over the top and self-indulgent trophy wife to Mr. Crude. She loves a party as much as she loves her face filler. Bobby Crude (Male presenting) : Sassy teenage son of Mr. and Mrs. Crude who wants to disassociate from his family and forge his own path. He cares about art, photography and making the world a better place for future generations. Annabelle Crude (Female presenting): Young and energetic daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Crude. She loves her family and wants to be just like her mother. Mr. Farber (Any Gender): Evolved and all knowing in his outlook on life. Mr. Farber knows all things are connected, there is beauty in all and has dedicated their life to their tree Farm in Alaska. Dr. Stickiden (Male presenting): Young and attractive personal Doctor to Mrs. Crude always available for her house calls. Also Plays Manny Martin/Tree Martin: character profile organized and precocious. Flirty Flo/Tree Flo/Bonnie (Female presenting): Always finding a seductive way to see a situation. Stepford Sue/Tree Sue/Connie (Female presenting): Always uptight and following a set of rules. Hippie Holly/Tree Holly/Lonnie (Female presenting): Always laid back and seeking zen. INFORMATION: - Rehearsals will begin November 2nd and they will be held from 6-10pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays (Not everyone will be called for every rehearsal). - Performances: December 7th @ 8pm, December 8th @ 8pm, December 9th @ 2pm and 8pm, December 10th @ 2pm at The Wild Project Theatre (195 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009).
