The tyrant is closed at the Palace. He has no need to talk to the mass. His affairs are far from his subjects, his life is another and it has almost nothing in common with the people that you satisfied with seeing her face printed on coins. Yet the tyrant you must show every now and then. Must get acclaim especially in times of crisis. I imagined some would-be tyrants trying to fascinate the people to wrest consent and legitimacy. Appear at the balcony and speak without hiding anything. Speak as our democratic tyrants would speak if they did not need to hide the despotism under the costume of democracy.
