La casa di Ramallah (Ramallah's House) will be on stage from May 6th - 16th 2010. By Antonio Tarantino. Directed by Antonio Calenda, with Giorgio Albertazzi, Daniela Giovanetti.

Production Teatro Stabile del Friuli Venezia Giulia

With the relevant and disturbing La casa di Ramallah, Antonio Calenda tests himself with Tarantino for the first time and touches upon a very sensitive theme: in fact, the text represents the hours that a father and a mother spend on the train taking their daughter to the place where she will perform a suicide bombing.

The interregional train that the three of them ride annuls the distance, both physical and ideological, between our reality and that of the Arab world.

The irrational but touching dialogue among the three, dense, painful and full of self-suggestions and fanaticisms, but also of heartfelt truths, is what will be represented by these three enormously talented interpreters.

The male protagonist possesses the refinement and the expressive depths of Giorgio Albertazzi.
