A performance that finds common ground with the path of musical theatre on which Moni Ovaia and his Stage Orchestra have always centred their search of expression. The main theme of the Merchant of Venice is the equivalence of money and human life. A fascinating conflict between Shylock and the Christian world in medieval Venice, that is the relationship between the financial realm and the existential one in its entirety.

The production is articulated on two simultaneous plans: relationships between human beings stressed by money so ingeniously portrayed by Shakespeare and the extreme interactions dominated by an excess of money as they occur in our world.
