UCC Creative Arts Societies Present 28th Annual UCC Strauss Ball, 29th November

UCC Creative Arts Societies will present the 28th annual UCC Strauss Ball, which will take place in the Silversprings Moran Hotel, Cork, on the 29th of November. The Strauss Ball is the classiest of the college calendar, complete with dance cards, proper waltzing to the music of Evelyn Grant and the Cork Pops Orchestra (www.corkpops.ie). Tickets will be on sale outside the Boole Library on UCC main campus till November 29th between 12pm and 2pm, with tickets an absolute steal at €40 for a full ticket and €20 for an afters ticket. Full tickets are like gold dust so make sure to secure yours early. This year's theme is Winter Wonderland so you can waltz in the wonderful wintry surroundings.

Named after the famous composers of the Strauss family, the Strauss Ball promises to be the classiest on offer to UCC students, with six university societies joining together in the biggest collaboration of the year to host a spectacular evening of dancing and divilment.

The night will commence with a pre-ball reception. The true highlight of the night follows the three course meal, when Evelyn Grant and the Cork Pops Orchestra will take to the stage, entertaining all with over 2 hours of ballroom music, waltz, tango and swing. And if your appetite for dancing is still not sated after this, the proceeding DJ will then provide enough tunes to satisfy even the greediest of dancing feet.
