La Vie Productions will present a private industry reading of The Porch, a new play by Kari Floren, on Monday, March 4, 2019 in NYC. Directed by Antoinette DiPietropolo, the presentation will take place at Sunlight Studios (321 W 44th Street).

The Porch follows four desperate souls all looking for a place to stop running. On one not-so-ordinary summer afternoon, three guests show up at the same bed and breakfast that the innkeeper eagerly wants to shutter. Just short of being physically coerced into staying open, he allows them to stay while leaving them to their own devices. The Porch (literally) soon turns private struggles into a public battleground in a naturalistic setting sweetened with delicate theatricality.

The presentation cast of The Porch will include Michelle Dawson (Mamma Mia!), Tim Ware (Kinky Boots), Zach Clark (Secret Theatre's King Lear), and Tanya Perez ("Orange Is the New Black").

The team for The Porch also includes Roger Murdock (incidental music), Cindi Rush (casting) and Richard A. Leigh (stage manager).
