Patrick Herold Departs ICM and Joins UTA

Former Partner and Head of Theater at ICM Partners, Patrick Herold, has moved to UTA as an agent in the Theatre division, Deadline reports. Herold will be based in New York and report to Partner & Head of Theatre, Mark Subias. He departs ICM following the agency's acquisition by CAA.

Herold's clients include the estates of Arthur Miller, Eugene O'Neill and Sam Shepard; writers Lisa Kron and Doug Wright; composers Cyndi Lauper and Stephen Trask; and directors Christopher Ashley, Michael Greif and Julie Taymor; among many others.

From 1996 to 2004, Herold was the owner of Helen Merrill Ltd., a literary agency representing writers, directors, choreographers, composers and designers for the performing arts, television, film and live entertainment. He is the former Associate General Manager of Lincoln Center Theater, where he worked from 1989 to 1996. Herold served as the Director of Development at New York Theatre Workshop from 1986 to 1989. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Administration from Columbia University's School of the Arts and a B.A. from Bennington College. Member - Association of Authors' Representatives. Board of Directors - Dramatists Play Service. Guest Lecturer - New York University, Columbia University and Yale University.
